Panchayat is a comedy based drama movie of Amazon Prime Video shows the story of a Engineering Student Abhishek who after competing his graduation searching for a better job in the city but due to lack of jobs he has to finally join Panchayat Office as a secretary in a small village Phulera in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh.

Jitendra Kumar has played a role of Abhishek in the movie Panchayat, and he has many dreams and always want to live a smart life which he doesn't found in Village and thus he gets frustrated. The Panchayat members such as Pradhan Ji and Assistant were get to know the things about the Secretary that he is now alone and frustrated towards the job so they decided to engage him in enjoying village life which is somehow similar to Abhishek city's smart life such as to celebrate Friday and Saturday Night after the work.

Abhishek is somehow managed his studies of MBA along with the working in panchayat office so that they could be able to get a better job but he felt disappointed will not able to crack the results.

Actor Raghubir Yadav who is working as a Pradhan on behalf of his wife who is actual Pradhan of village because she is not capable to take responsibilities of Pradhan her husband has taken all charge of Pradhan. Abhishek who is a secretary in panchayat office thinks that actual Pradhan has to take all the responsibility of Pradhan so he always supported Pradhan's wife to take her designation of Pradhan as soon as possible because everyone has a capability.

After suffering various difficulties  in village life the villagers started supporting Secretary and than Abhishek started taking interests in village life and Panchayat office.

Panchayat is a must watch movie for our young generation to never losing hope in life at any circumstances.
